  Our methodology

Our teams are trained to proven methods of "strategic sourcing" developed by TBS that allow us to achieve significant and sustainable for our customers. Our methodology of "strategic sourcing" makes use of analytical criteria and objectives of analysis and selection of suppliers need proven 6-step, which guarantees the good success of the proposed purchase :

  1. Study the specifications
  2. Supplier selection
  3. Negotiation and Contracting
  4. Purchasing and Production
  5. Quality control
  6. Delivery and Customs clearance

1. Study the specifications

The specification is the document that allows us to launch the proposed purchases. It is made with you, and contains the following elements :

  • Characteristics of the product or part to be produced
  • Applicable regulations (CE, NF, ROHS…)
  • Volume of supply, and recurrence
  • Time
  • Price taget

2. Supplier selection

On the basis of the specifications, our teams are looking for suppliers capable of meeting the different constraints :

  • Reliability
  • Competitiveness
  • Quality
  • Solvency

This research is primarily conducted within our supplier base and extended if necessary. Suppliers candidates are then consulted, and we then provide an initial quotation for the proposed purchase: this is what is called the primary quotation. Our teams then boarded the complete package integrating logistics costs and customs.

Based on the primary document quotation we select the supplier whose offer is best suited to your needs. In the case of a project sourcing and production, we order also samples that you can control. These samples will then serve as basis for quality control. We confirm our choice then with a possible plant tour and a credit investigation of the supplier.

3. Negotiation and Contracting

Financial terms obtained previously are open to negotiation. While flexibility is often tight, our Chinese agencies negotiate for you the best rates and conditions. The negotiation is of course the price, but also on the warranty, and the proportion of parts supplied.

4. Purchasing and Production

On a sourcing project, our local team ensures that delivery dates will be well respected, and that the product conforms to specifications (materials, components, features, …) and samples received previously. Production of a draft, this step is more complex. The production phase is followed by one of our branches in China. We then define a joint procedure specifying your speech (especially for validation phases, like the initial samples). In all cases, they are our teams that manage the operational side of the relationship with the supplier.

5. Quality control

Monitoring is a continuous step, which begins during the production, or creating new products, and ends at the shipment of the goods. Throughout this phase control is performed by teams of TBS in China. Depending on the type of production, different levels of control will take place during production. Certificates (including material certificates, but also ROHS, CE, …) will be required from the supplier. Finally, a pre-board screening will take place, which ultimately will certify that production is consistent.

6. Delivery and Customs clearance

Last step, delivery to your premises. Depending on your constraints, and economic interest, we will focus on the aircraft or the cargo to move the gas from China. Then we proceed to the clearance of the goods, and finally deliver it by truck to your warehouse.
